Kammi-Kylä is a bewildering and extraordinary attraction located in Nummijärvi, Southern Ostrobothnia, Finland. This village, built mainly by hand in the marshland, consists of several wooden structures that evoke the idea of swamp trolls or other mythical creatures living there.
In front of the village, there is a small parking lot at the end of the road, from which a short boardwalk leads to the village itself. The path begins through a log gate, from where the boardwalk meanders through the marshland, bringing you closer to the astonishing buildings.
The atmosphere in Kammi-Kylä is mysterious, and one can only imagine how magical the place would be when the summer night’s mist creeps across the marsh, enveloping the houses.
Visitors can freely wander around Kammi-Kylä, admiring the buildings both inside and out. In addition to the lounge areas and saunas within the buildings, visitors can take a dip in the marsh lake and enjoy a picnic at the grilling spot. The main building, Julumetun Hall, can be reserved for events or celebrations, and there are also a few sauna facilities in the further buildings available for booking. Reservations for the event and sauna facilities need to be made separately.
Kammi-Kylä is a place for relaxation and enjoyment of nature. Overall, it is a very unique location where you can spend a pleasant time exploring.
The entrance fee is voluntary and can be left in the donation box in the main building.
