Customer and Marketing Register
Legal Basis and Purpose of Personal Data Processing
The register is divided into two segments: blog readers and the segment related to the services offered. The legal basis for processing personal data according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation is:
- Consent of the individual (e.g., subscribing to an email list)
- Contract in which the data subject is a party
- Performance of a public task (e.g., responding to business inquiries)
- Legitimate interest of the data controller (e.g., pre-contractual customer relationship)
The purpose of processing personal data is to communicate with customers, maintain customer relationships, and conduct marketing activities.
The data will not be used for automated decision-making or profiling.
Register Content
The register may contain the following information: name, position, company/organization, contact information (phone number, email address, address), website addresses, IP addresses, information about ordered services and their changes, billing information, and other information related to the customer relationship and ordered services.
For blog readers who join the email list, the recorded information may include name and email address. If you leave a comment on the website, the associated information will be stored as mentioned in the “commenting” section.
The stored information for the target group of the services offered may include the aforementioned information mentioned at the beginning of the paragraph.
IP addresses of website visitors and cookies necessary for the functionality of the service are processed based on legitimate interest, primarily for ensuring information security and collecting visitor statistics. Consent will be requested separately for third-party cookies if necessary.
Regular Data Sources
The information to be stored in the register is obtained from the customer through various channels such as messages sent via web forms, email, telephone, social media services, contracts, customer meetings, and other situations where the customer provides their information.
Information about contacts from companies and other organizations can also be collected from public sources such as websites, directory services, and other companies.
Principles of Register Protection
The processing of the register complies with due diligence, and the information processed through the data systems is appropriately protected. When storing register data on internet servers, the physical and digital security of the hardware is ensured. The data controller ensures that the stored information, server access rights, and other critical information related to the security of personal data are handled confidentially and only by employees whose job description includes such responsibilities. ย
Right of Inspection and Right to Be Forgotten
Every person in the register has the right to inspect their stored information and request the correction of any incorrect information or the completion of incomplete information. Every person in the register has the right to request the removal of their personal data from the register (“right to be forgotten”).
If a person wants to check the information stored about them, request corrections, or request to be forgotten, the request must be sent in writing to the data controller. The data controller may request the requester to verify their identity if necessary. The data controller will respond to the customer within the timeframe set by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (generally within one month).
Every person in the register has the right to request the removal of their personal data from the register (“right to be forgotten”).
The right to erasure does not apply to personal data that we need to retain for administrative, legal, business-related (e.g., accounting), or security reasons.
